Made up of thousands of men and women just like you, of all ages and from all over the country, MyOpinionMatters provides a definitive view on what Ireland thinks by asking people like you to share your thoughts and opinions on a range of matters - from the products and services you like, to current affairs, new trends, advertising campaigns and everything in between. All while earning points which can be converted into free gift cards from a range of brands you know and love or if you prefer, you can donate your earnings to a good cause or charity.

Reward Points are a form of virtual currency awarded to MyOpinionMatters community members for participating in surveys and getting family and friends to join MyOpinionMatters.

For every survey you complete, your MyOpinionMatters account will be credited with a pre-determined amount of Reward Points. The number of points being offered per survey will be highlighted in the email invitation sent to you and you can check your points balance at any stage via your membership account.

The number of points you receive for completing each survey will depend on factors such as the length of the survey or the topic being covered. On average this will range between 50-200 points which equates to €0.50 - €2 per survey, which you can then redeem for free gift cards from some of your favourite retailers and brands.

When your points balance reaches the redeemable balance threshold of 2,000 points, you can then convert your Reward Points into a free €20 Gift Card from any of our rewards partners, or if you prefer, you can donate your earnings to a selected cause or charity.

The amount of time required for crediting Reward Points to your account depends on the survey. For some surveys, rewards are applied very quickly or within a matter of days, while for other surveys, rewards are credited to your account after the project has closed. You can expect to see Reward Points credited to your account no later than 30 working days, though we try to limit this as much as possible.

You can view and monitor your points balance anytime by logging into your account and checking the rewards section.

Every time you are screened out of a survey, you will be entered into our monthly prize draw giving you the opportunity to win a range of fantastic prizes! These entries will gradually build up throughout the month (depending on the levels of activity), and entrees will then automatically get entered into the prize draw at the end of every month.

The prize winners will then be chosen at random and awarded the relevant prize. After every monthly prize draw, the list of eligible entries will be reset to zero and the process of adding entries will commence again for the next month.

It's easy to become a member of the MyOpinionMatters community, just fill in your details in any Register box and follow the instructions! You will be sent a confirmation email containing a link which verifies your email address and completes the registration process. Once successfully registered, you will start receiving email invitations to take part in MyOpinionMatters surveys.

Anyone over the age of 16 living within the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland can apply to join the MyOpinionMatters community. Any accounts created from outside the Republic of Ireland or Northern Ireland will not be accepted.

The Market Research Society (MRS) which oversees all market research in the UK and Ireland, states people under the age of 16 cannot participate in market research without the informed consent of their parent or guardian.

If you are aged between 11 - 15 years old and would like to join the MyOpinionMatters community, please submit your details along with the contact details of your parent/ guardian in the contact us section. We will then contact your parent/guardian by phone to speak to them. As long as they are happy for you to join the MyOpinionMatters community, an email will then be sent to them so they can give their consent.

No - only one MyOpinionMatters account per person is allowed. If multiple accounts are detected belonging to only one person, these will be removed and any rewards earned will be made non-refundable.

If you have applied to join the MyOpinionMatters Community you will have received an email with a verification link. Please check your email (and junk mail folder) for this email and click on the link provided.

If you have not received this email, you can request a new verification link.

If you wish to make any changes to your account details, please log in to your MyOpinionMatters account and go to settings. If you wish to change your email address, please remember that it is also your username and make sure you use the new email address when logging into your account after making the changes.

You can increase or decrease the number of times we email you, by logging into your MyOpinionMatters account and clicking on the contact frequency link under settings.

You can unsubscribe at any stage by clicking the unsubscribe link found in all emails sent to you. You will be removed from all email list and will no longer receive any correspondence from MyOpinionMatters.

Remember, you can always come back later. Just get in touch through the contact us form and we will re-activate your account.

Once successfully registered, you will receive invitations by email to participate in online surveys or alternatively by logging in to your MyOpinionMatters account via MyOpinionMatters.ie.

Although we would like you to complete as many surveys as you can; you do not have to complete any surveys you do not want to. The surveys you will be invited to participate in will vary greatly in terms of subject matter, who they are targeted towards and in length.

Your My Details survey is a short survey which asks a number of key questions to find out more about yourself, your household, your lifestyle and your habits, which help us identify which surveys you will be eligible to complete. By completing this you will receive more, and better targeted, survey invitations.

When you have logged into MyOpinionMatters.ie you can access the survey in the My Profile section. It is important that you are as honest as possible throughout and ensure that the information stored is always up to date and recent so that we can allocate the most appropriate surveys to you.

There are primarily two reasons why you might not qualify for a survey you are invited to:

The first reason you may not qualify is that you may not match the exact criteria required for the survey you have been invited to. This is known as being 'screened out'. Sometimes, determining whether someone qualifies for a survey takes just a few questions, other times it may take more questions. Becasue of this, it is very important that you complete your My Details survey as honestly as possible and keep your details up to date so we only invite you to surveys that match your profile.

If the quota for a survey is full and the correct amount of participants have already completed it, you will not be allowed to continue with the survey. To try and prevent this from happening, make sure you respond to all survey invitations you receive as quickly as possible as access will only be available until a pre-determined number of responses have been received.

As a way to thank you for your efforts in the event of either of the above happening to you, we will automatically enter you into a monthly prize draw (see more details below on Prize Draws).

Sometimes, due to projects with tight timelines, we can only keep surveys open for short periods of times. Estimating how many people will want to answer a survey is difficult to do. We know, in most cases, how many people will complete a survey. We predict this based on the age, gender and other demographics of the people we invite to the survey. We also predict it based on the topic of the survey and the length of the survey. In the end though, it is just an estimate and sometimes, the number is over or under-estimated, this is why the survey may be closed when you go to do it.

To try and prevent this from happening, please make sure you respond to all survey invitations you receive as quickly as possible as access will only be available until a pre-determined number of responses have been received.

The number of surveys you receive is determined by the number of requests we have from our clients and partners as well as the profile information we have for you - not all surveys will be relevant for you and where we can, we try to avoid sending you these, which is why it's important to keep your profile up to date.

Completing all profiling surveys sent to you and ensuring your contact details are up to date is the best way to ensure you receive as many invitations as possible.

If you can't remember your password just click on the "Forgot Your Password?" button on the login widget which appears on most pages or else go directly to the forgot password page. You will be prompted to enter your email address where a link to reset your password will be sent.

We host a variety of surveys for a wide range of clients. Some of these surveys are programmed by us; others are programmed by our clients and hosted on their systems. If you encounter a technical problem with a survey, please contact us. Don't forget to include a link to the survey, the survey ID (if provided) and provide a screen shot (if possible). We apologise for any inconvenience caused by technical errors and will do our best to resolve any problems as quickly as possible.
